Pre- Bivouac inspection

Troop 2127 finally got in a bivouac August 26th to the 27th. Everything went well. We started with a hike in of about 2 1/2 miles to the Arroyo camp ground behind JPL. Day 1 included setting up camp, Infantry patrolling classes, hand and arm signal classes, Standard operating procedures during patrols, and use of camouflage. After classes we went on a night patrol on a small trail along the stream running through the area. After the patrol was a lessons learned talk, and we went into our force on force capture the flag war game later on that night.
Day two consisted of breakfast, a four mile boots and utilities run, and a nice afternoon of swimming in the stream next to the camp site. The Hike back was just over an hour. Pictures of the hike will be included in the next posting.
